Execution of the Major Crane Girder Project at Mobarakeh Steel Melt Shop by Pouyan Industrial Group
According to the Public Relations Department of Pouyan Industrial Group, the project for manufacturing and delivering crane girders for the melt shop of Mobarakeh Steel Company—one of the heaviest and most critical projects in Iran’s steel industry—was successfully executed and delivered in two phases, with a total weight of approximately 1,600 tons, relying on the executive and production capabilities of Shokoufa Sanat Pouya.
According to the Public Relations Department of Pouyan Industrial Group, the major and strategic project for manufacturing and delivering crane girders for the melt shop of Mobarakeh Steel Company—one of the most sensitive and heavy structural projects in Iran’s steel industry—was awarded to Shokoufa Sanat Pouya based on its technical, executive, and production capabilities and has been successfully completed.
The crane girders are designed to support molten metal cranes and play a critical role in the steel production process. Therefore, all stages of fabrication, quality control, and transportation were carried out in strict compliance with the highest technical and quality standards.
The project was executed in two phases, with a total fabricated weight of approximately 1,600 tons. As part of this project, four heavy-duty crane girders, each measuring 36 meters in length and 4 meters in width and weighing approximately 100 tons, were manufactured and successfully delivered to Mobarakeh Steel Company after completing all quality control procedures.
All shop drawings for this project were prepared by the Engineering and Design Office of Shokoufa Sanat Pouya and, after approval, were issued to the production line for fabrication.
Due to the large dimensions and heavy weight of the girders, specialized transportation operations were carried out by the logistics unit of Shokoufa Sanat Pouya using bogies, requiring advanced equipment, precise planning, and extensive execution experience.
The project was subject to multi-stage quality control, including dimensional inspection, surveying, welding, and painting inspections. Welding quality control included VT, MT, and UT tests, while surveying inspections covered camber, deflection, flange sag, alignment, and web distortion. All inspections were conducted by representatives of Mobarakeh Steel Company.
All materials were supplied by Mobarakeh Steel Company, utilizing S355JR0 and A283GRC steel grades. Additionally, all processes including cutting (from 1 mm up to 95 mm thickness), machining, welding, sandblasting, and painting were fully performed at Shokoufa Sanat Pouya facilities.
The successful execution of this major project clearly demonstrates the technical expertise, production capacity, construction quality, and execution experience of Pouyan Industrial Group and Shokoufa Sanat Pouya in the field of heavy industrial steel structures and large-scale steel industry projects.
